St.Brigit Well in Liscannor28 Juli -5 August Brigid Quest
A 9-day pelgrimage through mystical Ireland

Theme "Lughnasadh": period of the first harvest, blessing, harvesting the fruits of your efforts.

Short description of our trip
Day 1: Departure from Eindhoven Airport (NL) at 5.40 pm. After arrival at Dublin airport we will leave for the surroundings of Kildare where we will stay at an Irish Farm House. We will be welcomed on our first evening in Ireland with tea and scones with jam.
Day 2. We will start our mystical Brigid Quest with a symbolic "birth" of your personal pilgrimage; you will crawl from Her lap in the garden with the sacred well of Brigid in Kildare. This is where you can leave a ribbon with your prayers and also the place where you can light your Light for this sacred journey. May you receive beautiful insights! Walking through the beautiful Japanese garden of life will give you an insight in the choices that you make on your life path. In the afternoon we leave for Lough Gur.
Day 3: You will connect to the spirit of the land in Irelands largest stonecircle and here you can listen to the voice of these ancient wise stones. The surroundings of the stone circle knows deep mysterious lakes and green glens with mischievous fairy forests.
Day 4: On the Atlantic west coast of Ireland, we will visit St. Bridgets Well before we stop near the impressive cliffs of Moher in the musical heart of Ireland: Doolin. The clearly tangible elements (water, earth, fire and air) will accompany us when we contact the spirit of every single element through which you will receive insights about the meaning of each of these elements in your life at this moment. We will take a cruise along the cliffs of Moher and we close the evening at an Irish pub with live music.
Day 5: After a panoramic tour along the beautiful and unique coast of this part of Ireland (the Burren), we will visit Brigit's Gardens in Liscannor. This is where we take a tour through the Celtic Gardens while our Irish guide will let Brigid, saint and Goddess, and Lughnassadh come to life through words and feelings. We spend the night on the silent shores of Lough Corrib.
Day 6: Travel to themagnificent Boyne valley.
We find the Irish equivalent of Glastonbury Tor in the mountain of Loughcrew. On top of Loughcrew, you will not only find a passage tombe, but also the remains of several smaller tombes and a Seat of Visions; the ancient stone seat in which Brigid, in her aspect of the "Old Wise woman of the land" can give you a vision of your future.
Day 7: Knowth, one of the neolithic monuments that speaks to our imagination most. This "passage tombe" as it is called, is older than the Great Pyramid and  contains two third of all the worlds known neolithic art! This is where we find a Sun/Moon/Earth temple about which our guide will tell you more. Newgrange is just as impressive.
ierlandserie-springequinox.jpgEach year, during the Winter Solstice, a ray of sunlight penetrates deep into the heart of the monument where you too will be standing while looking at the inner heart of this temple.
Day 8: We will celebrate Lughnasadh together in a fairy fort at the same place where our Celtic ancestors celebrated the Lughnasadh games with the high king of Tara. This is where we will join in their footsteps with a Lughnasadh bread blessing. In earlier times, marriage vows were given for 1 year and a day, that could after this period, be either prolonged or ended in which case both would leave this ring fort using a different exit. We will end our rich inner and outer journey on the hill of the kings: Tara. This is where you can reconnect to the essence of Ireland with the wisdom of the Druids and maybe, the Lia Faill (Stone of Destiny) will sing for you? It is said that this stone will make a sound when the future High King of Ireland touches it. A tree nearby is the place where we can leave our "goodbye wishes".
Day 9: departure from Dublin at 1.35 pm

Further contents of this journey will become clear at the moment. There is much place to follw your own way inside the framework of this pelgrimage.
