Seasonal Celebrations

We honour the natural cycles in Nature by celebrating the eight seasonal festivals on the pagan Wheel of the Year. In doing so we are able to align ourselves to the natural rhythm which helps to structure our lives and work in the current solar cycle and over the years. It also provides a sense of community with all living beings.

Below are data of seasonal celebrations that are held at the Seed of Life stone circle at Treviscoe's private land on Trencrom hill near Hayle, Cornwall. Some of the ceremonies will be performed by us and some by likeminded people. The celebrations are held outside in nature on a field with an 'engraved' Seed of Life pattern surrounded by a stone cirle that was erected by late Hamish Miller and his wife Ba. Seasonal celebrations have been held here for more than 20 years and the place is steeped in magic, love and light. The duration of the ceremony itself is approx 2 hours. Afterwards there ususally is a shared pot-luck fingerfood buffet and sitting around the fire. Open heart contributions like poems, songs, music and storytelling are most welcome. The celebrations are suitable for children. Please mind the uneven ground (creative rabbits at work).

ALL WELCOME.

What does a seasonal celebration look like?

With sacred ceremony we will create a 'space out of time' - window to really sink (sync!) into the natural energy of the current season: we shall be pausing everyday-life, observing where we are at this point of our lives. All things have brought you to this specific point in time and you bring with you your unique experiences and talents. We give gratitude for the past, attune to nature's wisdom and re-connect with Source energy. This sacred window offers the opportunity to look to the future with a refreshed point of view.

Sacred tools that could be used are: give gratitude to the Four Elements, Spirit and Mother Earth, shamanic drumming and chanting, symbolic activities (such as creating a mandala, or spiral dance, ribbon weaving etc.).

Join us for an evening of deep reconnection around the stone circle and the Hopi fire circle.

BRING
  • we will be outside, the Cornish weather may change without notice, please dress accordingly
  • something to keep warm in or to sit warm during meditation
  • finger food for sharing after the ceremony
  • a story/poem/song/music instrument or anything else for sharing around the Hopi fire circle.
MEET

We will meet at 7pm at the Hopi Circle in the gardens of Treviscoe. Walk into the driveway, take the first garden path on your right, keep right and you will end up at the Hopi circle.

DIRECTIONS

Coming from Lelant on the Mill Hill road towards B3311 Halsetown: after the Sunny Meadows Caravanning site on your left, watch out for a left turn signposted Cripplesease and turn off there (DO NOT take the Trencrom signposted lane). Follow the country lane uphill until you reach the National Trust car park on your right at the top of the lane. For Treviscoe, park at the NT car park and continue the country lane for a couple of yards until you reach the driveway signposted Treviscoe on your left.
