| 23 December 2010
Change is happening already right NOW and not in 2012. The year 2010 astrologically seen is 'the 2012'. Yesterday, Dec. 21st, 2010 the sun, earth and moon aligned with the centre of our Galaxy. A rare event causing a full moon eclipse just before the solstice sunrise. This event focused mainly in the so-called "ring of fire" (underwater mountain range in line with Hawaiian islands, created by volcanic-type of activity of an inner earth 'hot spot'). We have been given a huge opportunity to release the old and restricting patterning from our subconsciousness while at the same time creating an opening for the influx of raised vibrations from our Galaxy's centre, the Source. If you were waiting for Dec. 21, 2012 - you are two years late. This is it! It is happening right now.
During a silent autumn equinox meditation at the Chalice Well head, I picked up information from the inner realms showing me images (which are symbolical for what's happening in human consciousness evolution): first they showed scales at the autumn equinox point, next a blindfold at the winter solstice event and then a raised sword at the spring equinox point. What I got from that information was that we have to use the time running up to the winter solstice to keep a balance between positive and negative. At the solstice we will be 'blind' - we cannot see where we are heading. We will need to TRUST blindly. We will encounter a zero-point, a blank canvas, to be filled in anew. Come spring 2011 we will actively raise our swords high - standing in our Truth of being active co-creators for the future we want to see. The whole image pieced together was that of 'Lady Justice'.
On Dec. 21st our local tribe gathered to celebrate the winter solstice and the start of the Yule season. Normally I would plan a rough layout for the ritual and fill in details nearer the event. This time I could not prepare the ritual in advance, whatever I tried, every time I got a blank mind and no information at all. Very weird but meaningful to me. Much like the blindfold shown, I trusted that I would know what to do when the time for the ritual had come. In stead of pushing against, I retreated. Creating silent space and relaxation. Then, on the afternoon just before the actual festivities I got the information I needed. A telephone call with a dear friend triggered the process of 'knowing what to do'. I now had a very clear message and crafted the ritual accordingly:
The image of 12 little candles circling a centre candle came to mind. Each of the 12 candles would be lit individually representing a month of the past year. We would meditate on the significance of that month: "what happened in that month? How did you react to this event? How did you feel afterwards? Knowing what you know now, would you change your reaction to the event? If you want to do so, do it. How do you feel now? Before we light the candle for February, let go of all that you want to leave in January." Moving on to February, repeating the meditation for that month and all other months to come. Introducing each month with the seasonal happenings of sun and earth interaction to refresh memories. When lighting the candle, I said "I light this candle so it may shed Light into the subconscious memory of January and help you see that which needs to be seen". Or something like that.
After all 12 candles were lit, I lit the centre candle symbolising the rebirth of the Light, of the sun, in us, in the world. We are 'the world', We are Light. We create the events in film that is the months of our year, turning around our centre. Coming full circle.
Afterwards, we all wrote the 'negative' subconscious patterning onto a huge snowflake (which I cut out from an enormous piece of paper) releasing it from our subconscious mind and in doing so also releasing it from humanity's subconscious patterning. The snowflake symbolised the 'frozenness' and 'non-movement' of the grip which fear-based patterning has on us. By burning the snowflake on a bonfire, the transforming fire cleansed these obstacles so we may rise like phoenixes and melting the frozenness into moving forward with the light of insight.
Next we each lit a candle and thought about what we DO want to bring into the world come 2011. Things were said (or shouted and laughter would follow): joy, humour, loyalty, community spirit, freedom, peace, batteries, abundant harvest etc. Turning our backs to the fire we held our candle in front of us and walked out into the world, taking all these qualities with us into 2011.
Once back inside - I blew out the 12 candles because 2011 is a blank canvas. We create it. We influence what will happen in 2011 because we have the FREEDOM to choose our reaction to events. Much like the exercise we did moving through all the months of 2010. By consciously choosing our reaction, we create 2011. Your focus will contribute to the events of 2011. Be AWARE, be FREE (mind), be FOCUSED, be HERE, be HAPPY, be CONFIDENT, be POSITIVE. It is all about attitude. Your attitude has the power to fill in the blank canvas.
This year, as a Yule focus, I'm following the Northern European Asatru tradition in their Yul-activity of lighting a candle for 12 executive days - each day dedicated to a virtue or theme. Justice is today’s theme (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNEtdyitLRU&feature=related). To come are: courage, generosity, hospitality, moderation, community, individuality, truth, steadfastness, loyalty and wisdom.
I wish you insight into all of these themes as they hold the key to building the world we want to see.
Deepest wisdom and peace to you,
With LOVE,
Nathascha
