As on June 1st, July will also start with a partial solar eclipse and will end a period of a month of eclipses of the sun and moon. And what a thrilling ride June was! For many people a lot has dramatically changed in the past four weeks - sometimes shocking, sometimes a real miracle! Like our unbelievable but true miracle. It was actually a series of small miracles that led to a great wonder:

At a time when financial burdens weigh heavily, we struggled with the decision whether or not to spend one week in Avebury stone circle (Wiltshire UK) for the summer solstice holidays. Every fibre of our being said 'yes' and only our minds said 'no'. After a few days of doubt Mario said "Let's go, we deserve it. Moreover, the money we need will come to us".

And so it happened that I had find and book an accommodation in or near Avebury two days before departure. Furthermore a long-time-no-see Dutch friend asked us if we could come to Gaunt's House in Dorset to enjoy an evening meal together and do some hugging and catching-up. A retreat by Michael Roads was held there and a lot of soul family would be at that place, including Michael (one of the most influential men in my life) and Carolyn. So I organised our stay in a manner that we would drive down from Avebury to the small village of Wimborne in Dorset on Friday. Besides that and the summer solstice celebration in the Avebury stone circle on the night of 20 on June 21st ánd seeing the sun rise from this sacred landscape temple, there was just one other activity planned: a visit to Glastonbury on Tuesday the 21th when a summer solstice gathering in the Chalice Well Gardens would be held. That was it, that was the only framework of our short holiday. Well, it gave Spirit plenty of room to place all sorts of synchronicities on our path!

But first there was a test! After years of travelling overseas to England with our dog, this was the first time that access to the ferry with our dog was being denied by a surly lady in the little customs booth. And just because there was 1 stamp (of the three stamps necessary) on the wrong page of the dog passport! Not insurmountable, you might think. But this lady thought differently. We had to notify the supervisor on duty in another part of the port. Mario asked me if I would accompany him but I replied that my energy was currently of no benefit in adding to a positive outcome. In short, I was angry! And not just a little bit angry - as a child I have always felt an aversion to stupid rules and regulations (such as knife and fork etiquette) just 'because there are rules'. And I have never understood why someone should simply follow rules to the letter when a more  humane and compassionate path of handling this issue could be taken. Anyway, so I did not join Mario in his visit to the supervisor. Instead I stayed in the car and observed with deliberate intention what the patterns in my subconscious mind were that evoked my emotional response. I also examined what in me had brought this situation into my field of awareness. Things do not just happen, there is an intelligence at work. Ah, I detect an inner conviction! Sometimes that which happens to us has been created deliberately/consciously and sometimes it's a result of subconscious matters. Okay, on with the story ;-)

Through an inner exercise I was able to let the emotions go and next began to imagine that everything would work out perfectly. Indeed, even though we had to phone a French veterinarian and get him to leave his early Sunday morning (Father's Day) bed to take the half-hour drive to his clinic just for the purpose of creating a new dog passport for us, all went very well. The sleepy-looking vet could fully understand our situation and even drove in front of us to lead us back to the highway so that we would not get lost in Calais. Two boats later than planned, we were on our way to England! The challenge we ran into was properly addressed and Spirit was apparently satisfied and planned in secret our 'reward'. We were not aware of what was going to happen. The detailed story is too long but I will share the headlines here with you.

In the Chalice Well garden (one of the most magical places I know of) at the well head , many people had gathered for a silent meditation to honour the summer solstice. Among those present was Matthew, a poetic druid we have come across several times during our travels. He said that he had another summer solstice ceremony planned at Stonehenge at the end of the week "Great!, I've never been to Stonehenge," I told him, "because when I go, it must be one of those special access events so that I can be among the stones and not just walk around it like one has to stick to when paying for the tourist visit". We use the Stonehenge site for coffee and toilet breaks during our magical journeys, but I had never paid to walk around the stones. Matthew said this would be such a special event access. He looked thoughtfully into the distance and then back to me, "this ceremony is usually sold out very early but maybe there are still tickets. I'll ask".

That same evening we found his message on Facebook in which he led us to a website for the last two tickets (numbers 99 and 100) to buy. To be able to read that email we had been driving around in our car with the mini laptop hoping to find a decent network signal. Just before entering Marlborough, in a small lane to the right, we had full internet access. Yay! The next challenge was to print the tickets, because you had to have tickets to show to the guards at Stonehenge. Since we are not travelling around with a printer at hand, I sent a message to a newly forged friendship with a resident of Avebury (who also happened to be a Reiki Master and pagan) to ask if she knew where we could print something out. She led us to Mary, a very helpful woman in the Tourist Office (which sits exactly on the Michael and Mary energy lines in the earth). She even came to our cottage to ensure we would get the tickets! Thrilled that we were finally going to Stonehenge - and better even - on the old summer solstice sunrise celebration held on June 24th. We would share that magical time/space with other druids among the immensely powerful stones. What a gift! What a gift from Earth & Spirit. But it was about to become even more exciting!

After a wild morning ride at 3am at night through soundly sleeping Wiltshire's small country lanes we arrived at Stonehenge. The light from the sun was already faintly visible in the dawn sky and the atmosphere was loaded with sacred anticipation and excitement as we joined the group of ceremonial dressed people. A beautiful woman with deer antlers on a staff spoke loudly to the group and we listened to her instructions. At the end of her speech, she asked if a couple was in our midst who would like to do a Handfasting (Celtic marriage ritual) during the sunrise ceremony? I looked at Mario and asked him if he wanted to. He replied: "Earlier this week when we visited the Chalice Well garden I wanted to ask you for a Handfasting -  but I didn't dare to". I looked at him with joy in my heart.  In that moment we both understood that Spirit had led us to this moment and that Handfasting was the right thing to do. The opportunity was created, the possibility wide open, the choice was ours. Well, we didn't think twice and wholeheartedly said 'yes' to each other in what is arguably the most romantic place and time to undergo a handfasting. It was beyond our wildest dreams and we could not have come up with anything more magical than this! And afterwards, when we got back home, two unexpected windfalls made up for the money that we had spent on accommodation during this magical trip!
